Core Module

The Core module provides the basic functionality of Gallery and provides the hooks and events for other modules and themes to work in the Gallery framework.

Description

The Core module provides the GalleryCoreApi, GalleryModuleApi, GalleryThemeApi and GalleryEmbed API used by all other Gallery plugins and applications interacting with Gallery.

As the core of the Gallery framework, this is the only module that cannot be deactivated or uninstalled and it cannot be upgraded via downloadable plugins either. To upgrade the core module, you need to upgrade to a new version of Gallery itself.
